SEMINAR ROOM READY FOR HOSTING TALKS, TRAINING AND SEMINARS

Our eKongHing Seminar space is ready for hosting talks and training.

Facilities available are wifi Internet access, 48 inches Samsung smart LCD TV, air-conditioned meeting room, seminar/training room and toilet.

It can accommodate at least 12 to 20 persons at any one time.

 

WEBCAM SURVEILLANCE CAMERA AT REAR CARPARK

We have installed a wired Webcam at the rear carpal of our premises at eKongHing.

By doing so, we can monitor the rear part of our premises. 

Being a long shop house of about 130 feet in length,  it is difficult to know or check the rear without a Webcam.

eKONGHING TRAINING SPACE

Our eKongHing training space is ready for business. Chairs and tables are in place since yesterday.

INTERNET IN A BOX

eKongHing has packaged an Internet-in-a-Box for easy Internet access for remote learning.

This is a low cost Internet access system where users can connect to the Internet.

Smartphone and devices can connect wirelessly to the router for connecting to the Internet.

KEE ANN ROAD WHERE EKONGHING IS LOCATED

EkongHing is located on this road. 

Kee Ann Road@Kampong Jawa constructed in 1930s,  is in the center of Melaka New Chinatown. 

NEW FREE CAR PARKING ON MONDAYS AND TUESDAYS

Melaka Historical City Council has changed their free car parking days from Saturdays and Sundays to Mondays and Tuesdays.

Malaccans and visitors from other states must be aware of this change of free parking days. You need to pay parking charges on Saturdays and Sundays.

So, if you to enjoy free car parking within Melaka City, do plan your visits on Mondays and Tuesdays.

Besides there is less congestion on Mondays and Tuesdays.

Melaka welcomes visitors to our city always to enjoy our history, food and hospitality.

EDUHACK 1.0 CANCELLED ON 3.6.2020 DUE TO MCO

Since the Movement Control Order extended to 9.6.2020, our EduHack 2020 in June 2020 has been cancelled.

PREPARATION FOR EDUHACK 2020

We purchased 6 nos.banquet tables and 4 sets Japanese table in preparation for our EduHack 2020 in June. The banquet tables can be used for talks/presentation or in classic classroom setting.

OLPC 2.0-EDUHACK COMING SOON

 eKongHing Digital and Creative Centre will be hosting Malacca first OLPC-2.0 EDUHACK from 5 - 6 June 2020.

Limited spaces are available, so please register as soon as possible to reserve your attendance.

OLPC 2.0-EDUHACK

OLPC 2.0-EduHack is an attempt to turn the XO into low cost Artificial Intelligence (AI) learning
development platform.

In these TWO days, we will gather volunteers to brainstorm, hack, integrate python or AI related toolkits into XO.

We hope with OLPC 2.0-EduHack, we can make an impact to turn the XO laptops into another sustainable learning platform for the benefits of community and society.

We want your help and expertise!

Please join us on 5-6 June 2020 at The Historical City of Malacca, Malaysia.

Accommodation will be provided if you can come in person.

Went to Ikea KL to check out some furniture for eKongHing premises for future young children.

BLINDS BEING INSTALLED IN CONFERENCE/TRAINING ROOM

Finishing touches being done in the conference room / meeting room.  For privacy,  a pull down blind has been installed.

SMART TV IN CONFERENCE ROOM

We have moved the Smart TV into the conference room.

It can be wirelessly connected to a hot-spot or to a router.

DEDICATED eKONGHING WEBCAM & LEARNING POSTERS

Today we installed a dedicated wireless Webcam at the upstairs office space.

At the same time,  the 48" Samsung SmartTV was taken to the upstairs office space as well.

Some learning Alphabet and Number posters were pasted on the learning wall.

We hung up our eKongHing and 12keeann Nurturing Centre this week.

We are currently seeking out volunteers  who can offer their time to nurture disadvantage children in this centre.

A KancilBox for wifi Intranet content has also been installed at the eKongHing workspace.
